Our Wedding

They met the way all great love stories begin - in a crowded, slightly chaotic, 70’s-themed bar in Harlem after matching on Hinge. It was January 2022 at The HoneyWell: disco music playing, cocktails pouring, and somehow in that sea of people, they found each other.Well… almost.Carina forgot her ID and had to sprint back to her apartment around the corner after entering the bar - leaving Garrett convinced she was bailing on him entirely.But she came back, and four hours later, they were still there, wrapped in conversation like the rest of the room had disappeared, and the bar was closing down for the night.Life, timing, and the universe kept their own pace, though. They wouldn’t officially come together until October 15th of that same year, but when they did, something just felt right.To be loved is to be known - and they have never felt more fully seen. They're two nerds at heart who love all the same things: Pokémon battles, late-night anime marathons, nostalgic game soundtracks, all things Disney lore (with Garrett patiently listening and nodding along) and deep-dive conversations about absolutely everything.On August 15th, 2025, surrounded by magic within the deep mountain forests near Kyoto, Japan (and in a bathtub of all places), Garrett asked - and Carina said yes!Now we live our happy little life in New York City with our black cat, Pabu - overlord of the apartment, keeper of chaos, and third member of this love story.This is us - and we can’t wait for all that’s ahead. Think elevated summer elegance: light, seasonal colors paired with formal fabrics and polished silhouettes. We invite guests to wear floor-length gowns or cocktail dresses, and suits with ties and dress shoes for gentlemen (no tuxedos, please).
